Cabot courses are designed for walking, inspired by our deep love of nature and the land itself. We do not offer golf carts, as we are committed to providing a golf experience that allows guests to fully connect with the natural beauty of our surroundings. Our walking-only policy supports a more immersive, traditional style of play — one that honours the tradition of the game and encourages a deeper appreciation of the course’s landscape.

We have a limited number of medical carts for guests who provide a doctor’s note advising against walking the full length of the courses. Medical carts are available during walking season only.

Yes! We offer multiple levels of caddie services. You can view all caddie categories on our Rates Page.

Our golf season runs from May 9th to October 19th, 2025.

We offer a complimentary shuttle service that transports guests between the two properties. You can catch the shuttle in front of our Front Desk building, and in front of the Cliffs Golf Shop.

We offer premium TaylorMade Men’s and Women’s rental club sets with Stiff or Regular shafts to ensure you have the best equipment for your round.

At Cabot, we encourage players of all skill levels to enjoy our courses. With five distinct tee boxes, guests can choose their preferred level of difficulty.

For beginners, we offer two great options:

1. The Nest – A fun and impactful 11-hole short course that can be played in less time than a traditional 18-hole course, making it perfect for new players or those short on time.
2. Royal Blue Tee Boxes – Designed to offer a less challenging distance to the green, these tee boxes ensure all players can enjoy the game comfortably at their own skill level.

Our goal is to create an inclusive and enjoyable experience for everyone. For non-golfers, we warmly welcome you to walk alongside your group and take in the breathtaking beauty of Cabot Links and Cabot Cliffs, renowned for their stunning landscapes.

The course only shuts down in the event of lightning. While we won’t refund a round due to rainy weather, as playing with the elements is part of the Links Golf experience, we will try our best to accommodate by rearranging tee times in the event of lightning.

We partner with Ship Sticks, the most convenient and affordable door-to-door shipping service for your golf clubs and luggage.

Ship Sticks provides a hassle-free travel experience backed by an on-time guarantee. To get started, schedule with Ship Sticks and tell us where you would like your clubs picked up.

Once you’ve placed your order, you will receive detailed instructions on how to package up your clubs for shipping, including a link to track your clubs in real-time.

Ship Sticks recommends choosing a delivery date 1-3 business days prior to your arrival.

On-site we offer a variety of luxury lodge rooms, golf villas, Cliffs Residences, Dunes Cottages and Hillside Homes. View all accommodations.

Check-in: 3:30pm | Check-out: 10:30am

If you expect to arrive before our check-in time and would like immediate access to your room, we recommend booking the room for the night prior. Similarly, for late departures, reserving an additional night will guarantee access to your guest room until you depart. If you choose not to reserve, we will be glad to store your bags and give you access to our shower and changing rooms for you to freshen up.

While it isn’t included in the room rate, guests can enjoy a delicious breakfast at Panorama Restaurant or choose from a convenient Grab & Go selection at Cabot Bar.

For Resort Guests, all accommodations have a 60-day cancellation policy and all tee times have a 48-hour cancellation policy.

Day Guest tee times are pre-paid at the time of booking and non-refundable.

We have a 14% HST in Nova Scotia that is applied to all services and products, as well as a 3% marketing levy on accommodations.

We charge all services in CAD.

There is an ATM located in the Links Reception Building available 24 hours and at the Cliffs Pro Shop.

If you would like to add a cash out to your final bill, we are offering Paid Out Service at the Front Desk up to $150.00 daily with a Service Fee of 7%.

We also offer USD to CAD currency exchange at the Front Desk at an exchange rate of 1.15. If there are any questions or concerns, please see our Front Desk Team for more information.

Private Flights
With two airport options for private flights on the island, travelling to Cape Breton is a seamless experience. Both airports are full-service FBO’s.

Helicopter Transfers
For a quicker and thrilling method of transportation, Helicopter Transfers are available. We work closely with a local Aviation Company and are more then happy to provide contact details to you shall this be of interest.
Gateway Sydney, operating out of J.A Douglas McCurdy Sydney Airport (YQY) is a 22-minute helicopter transfer to Cabot, or a 2-hours scenic drive. The Allan J MacEachen Regional Airport, located in Port Hastings, is a 10-minute helicopter transfer to Cabot, or 1-hour scenic drive.
Please note that due to our remote location these transfers are subject to availability and must be booked in advance.

Private Vehicle Transfer
The main form of transportation for our guests is via road transportation in our 11-seater Mercedes Sprinter. These are private transfers that operate arrival and departure transfers from all Airports within Nova Scotia & New Brunswick. We also offer transfers to and from local sights or private accommodations.

Taxi or Ride Share Services
Owing to its rural size, Inverness Country does not have the resources for taxi or ride share services. However, Cabot Cape Breton offers complimentary shuttle services between the two properties and private shuttles to local sights and airports that can be arranged through Front Desk. Additionally, for our resort guests, we offer two Mercedes vehicles that can be booked for complimentary use.

We will do everything in our power to make your trip as seamless as possible so please contact us if you require any additional travel advice or ground transportation from your chosen arrival airport.

Cabot offers a private transportation service in our 11-seat Mercedes Sprinter. This is a limited service, and we highly recommend requesting at time of booking.

Enterprise has pick up and drop off locations in Halifax, Sydney and Port Hawkesbury.

Avis has locations in Halifax and Sydney.

Parking at Cabot Cape Breton is complimentary for registered guests and golfers. We offer plenty of spaces right outside the main buildings at both Cabot Links and Cabot Cliffs locations.

Please note that we do not offer valet service at this time.

Villas, Hillside Homes, Residences, & Dunes Cottages
Parking is also available directly outside of the Villas, Hillside Homes, Residences, & Dunes Cottages.

Electric Vehicles
If you are travelling with an electric vehicle, we offer one Level 2 Charging Station. This is located at our Cabot Links Property. Please contact our Front Desk Team for more information.

Cabot Bar
Overlooking the 18th hole of Cabot Links golf course, Cabot Bar is a great spot to stop in for a quick post-round snack, enjoy a warm beverage, or linger over drinks on our green-side patio. For a quick nibble before your morning tee time, Cabot Bar also offers a selection of pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and warm beverages. It might just become your new favourite 19th hole.

The Pantry
The Pantry is your go-to stop for essentials during your stay, offering a curated selection of top East Coast and Canadian products. Whether you’re after a snack, a favourite non-alcoholic drink, our cigarette selection, or a nostalgic treat, you’re sure to find something to satisfy and delight.

Halfway Huts
The Halfway Huts on course has cold beverages, light snacks, and grab-and-go meal available while golfing.

• Links Halfway Hut: 7:30AM – 7PM
• Links Harbour Hut: 7AM – 5:30PM

 

Coore’s Lobster Shack
Experience a maritime lobster shack and smokehouse with a classic Atlantic Canada lobster boil experience. Coore’s menu has been curated to highlight some East Coast staples every visitor must try.

If you’re in the mood for some indoor recreation after a day outdoors, we have an exciting array of activities and games to keep you entertained. As you head back outside behind The Barn, don’t miss the opportunity to unleash your competitive spirit with a game of tennis, archery cornhole, croquet or bocce.

Whit’s Public House
Nestled between the Lodge and the main street of Inverness, Whit’s Public House has everything you want in a pub: great food, fantastic staff, live music, an outdoor patio, and warm hospitality at its finest. Enjoy pizzas made in-house and upscale pub fare with beverages from our extensive selection of Nova Scotia craft beers and spirits. Then say “cheers” to your neighbour—be it the Gaelic “slàinte”, French “santé”, or Nova Scotian “sociable”!

Late Night Menu: 10:30pm to 12am

Panorama

With stunning views of Cabot Links’ 18th hole and the Gulf of St. Lawrence, dinner at Panorama features the best ingredients Nova Scotia has on offer, prepared with care and paired beautifully with local and international wines of character and distinction.

Breakfast is also available and best enjoyed at Panorama, where you can savour a scrumptious selection of à la carte and buffet offerings while overlooking the calm morning ocean.

Breakfast: 7AM – 11AM
Dinner: 5:30PM – 10PM

Reservations can be made for dinner on OpenTable.

At Cabot Cape Breton, guests are welcome to dine in golf casual attire at all of our restaurants and outlets — no jackets required.

Reservations for Panorama Restaurant and Coore’s Lobster Shack may be made 72 hours in advance via OpenTable or by calling our Reservations team at (855) 652-2268.

We accept reservations for Whit’s Public House through OpenTable between 12pm to 8pm daily.

Please note that at this time we do not accept reservations for Cabot Bar.

The maximum group size you can book through OpenTable is 8 guests. For larger parties, please contact our Concierge Team directly—they’ll be happy to assist you with your reservation.

Note: As a guest at Cabot Cape Breton, if you’re having trouble booking or see no availability on OpenTable, we encourage you to reach out to our Concierge Team for assistance.

Yes, you’re welcome to bring in a bottle of your own. Our corkage fee is $50 per bottle.

At Cabot Cape Breton, the Spring and Fall seasons see “True Links” weather, a misty rain and wind off the ocean that provide an authentic experience.

Our summer months experiences humid and moderately high temperatures, averaging 25 degrees, with a refreshing, slight breeze off the ocean.

Our Resort is pet-friendly! There is a one-time charge of $50 plus taxes per stay for the deep cleaning of your room. If you wish to stay in a private home, please inquire with our Reservations Team on pet-friendly availability. We kindly ask that you inform our Reservations Team prior to your arrival if you are travelling with a pet.

There is a variety of activities to do on and off property, including Fly Fishing, Jeep Tours, and VIP Whiskey Tours at Glenora. Please see our Adventure Guide for more.

We offer daily housekeeping services, typically completed in the afternoon. For stays longer then 3 days, linen changes will be completed on Day 3 of your stay, unless otherwise requested. For any special requests, please contact our Front Desk team.
