Boating & Water Activities
Being out on the water is one of the best ways to explore the shimmering seas, beautiful coastline, and natural wonders of Cape Breton. Inverness and the surrounding region offer a variety of boat tours and private charters—be it by a 40-foot fishing boat docked in Inverness Harbor or a 42-foot luxury Catamaran in the Bras D’Or Lakes.
Catamaran Charters
Awaken your senses in the fresh salt air and temperate breezes as you sail the pristine waters of one of North America’s largest inland saltwater seas. Step aboard the elegant Cape Bretoner 1 Alpha 42 Catamaran for a private charter, departing from the quaint, picturesque village of Baddeck, located just one hour’s drive from Cabot Cape Breton.
Your group will enjoy an invigorating 2–6-hour cruise (wind and weather dependent) across the extraordinary Bras d’Or Lake—a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve with over 790 miles (1,250 km) of unspoiled coastline. Anchor in a secluded cove to paddleboard, swim, or simply relax on deck while taking in Cape Breton’s stunning natural beauty.
For a truly memorable experience, take the helm and guide the Cape Bretoner 1 yourself, with expert tips—and a few stories—from your captain.
