Water Activities
Water Activities
Blessed with a pristine beach stretching over three kilometres (two miles), an ocean with the warmest waters north of the Carolinas, and nearby lakes and rivers like the awe-inspiring Bras d’Or Lake and Margaree River, Inverness is as renowned for its variety of adventures on the water as it is for the golf at Cabot Links. So, in between tee times, make a splash with these local water activities and see why Nova Scotia is “Canada’s Ocean Playground”. And discover why this stunning geography is, in large part, the reason many of our guests return again and again. Inverness Beach
When we’re not on Cabot’s courses, we love nothing more than heading down to Inverness Beach and enjoying Cape Breton’s beautiful summer weather. If you’d like to hit the beach, we’d be happy to help with transportation and activities, or whip up a delicious picnic of your choice. Good friends, good food, good times: the best way to spend a day…other than on the golf course.

Guided Kayak Tour
Experience the beauty of Inverness on our guided trip along the magnificent coastline. Each guest will receive hands-on paddling instruction at MacIsaac’s Pond before heading out to open waters. Touring along the coast will give clients a unique perspective of Cabot Cape Breton as well as the opportunity to explore the world of kayaking. Shall wind be a factor, the beautiful Mabou Harbor provides a protected alternative with gorgeous rolling hills leading to the ocean.
